NIGERIAN ARMY DAY CELEBRATION 2021

1. The Nigerian Army Day celebration ( NADCEL) is an annual event held on 6 July every year to celebrate the Army achievements and also to showcase other Nigerian Army’s transformation strides in innovation, research and development, civil military relations and technological advances. The theme for this year’s NADCEL is ” A Professionally Repositioned Nigerian Army: A Prerequisit for Successful Operation in a Joint Environment”. The line up of activities for the celebration of the event in AkwaIbom State include;

• Juma’at prayer

Time: 1330hrs( 1:30pm)
Venue: 2 Brigade Mosque Security Village Idu Uruan Uyo and 6 Battalion Mosque Wellington Bassey Barrack Ibagwa.

• Interdenominational church service
Date: 4 July 2021
Time: 0930hrs (9:30am)
Venue: St Micheal Military Protestant Church Wellington Bassey Barracks Ibagwa

• Medical outreach
Date: 5 July 2021
Time: 900hrs (9am)
Venue: Uwa Junction and Central Town Hall Ikot Otu in Essien Udim Local government Area of AkwaIbom State

2. Additionally the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) 2 Brigade Chapter would be carrying out humanitarian outreaches in Mother Charles Walker Orphanage Home Uyo, Wellington Bassey Barrack Ibagwa Abak and Mboho Orphanage Home, Hospital Road Abak on 5 July 2021.
