YOU ARE A GOD-DRIVEN COMMISSIONER – SIR ESIN NKERUWEM TO
COMRADE INI EMEMOBONG
“You are a God-drven Commissioner”, were those words that came out from the mouth of Sir Dr. Esin Nkeruwem, after moments of gazing surprisingly at Comrade Ini Ememobong, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, in the evening of Wednesday 7th July in Uyo.
The occasion was a birthday visit to Sir Dr. Esin Nkeruwem, a one-time Commissioner of Information, in his Uyo residence, in keeping with the tradition of the Ministry of paying visits to past political heads of the Ministry, since the assumption of office as the Commissioner for Information and Strategy by Comrade Ini Ememobong.
“When I heard of the things you do, especially that, you were seeing past Commissioners of the Ministry during that Christmas period and on their birthdays, I said to myself, I want to know that Commissioner”, Dr. Esin Nkeruwem said.
“So when I received a call that, you will be celebrating my birthday with me today, I was just elated and waited to see you. You are God-driven. May God bless you and bless the entire Ministry”, Sir Dr. Nkeruwem prayed.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong who had led the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Inyang Jameson and Management staff on the birthday visit, said, it was a tradition of the Ministry to pay homage to past Political heads of the Ministry in recognition of their contributions toward the development and growth of the Ministry and State at large.
Comrade Ini Ememobong expressed delight that, he met his predecessor-in-line with his family in good health and prayed God to keep him to enjoy many more happy years ahead as he continues to lend his experience and expertise towards the efficient running of the machinery of government.
