AKSG WELCOMES PUPILS, STUDENTS AND TEACHERS TO A NEW ACADEMIC SESSION
As public and private primary and secondary schools in the State resume for the first term on Monday,13th September,2021 , Akwa Ibom State Government welcomes pupils, Students and Teachers for the 2021/2022 academic session.

This was contained in a Release signed by the State Commissioner for Education, Mrs Idongesit Etiebet on Friday,10th September,2021.
According to the release, Parents and Guardians were advised to ensure relevant textbooks , writing materials,and other necessities are provided for their children and wards ahead of the new term, urging them to release their children to school as effective teaching and learning shall commence immediately from first day of reopening.
The Commissioner also advised parents to ensure their children are properly kitted daily with facemasks, while school authorities should provide hand washing facilities including running water, hand sanitizers and to comply strictly with safety protocols in view of the new wave of Covid 19 Delta variance.
Mrs Etiebet commended School Authorities and Teachers for their assiduous and altruistic services over the past sessions, charging them to step up their game as State Government would continue to give top priority to their welfare.
On Students and Pupils,the Education Boss reiterated Government’s commitment to academic excellence and high standard of Education, enjoining the children to be more studious in the new term as absenteeism, truancy, laziness and any act of irresponsibility would not be condoned.
The Commissioner, on behalf the State Ministry of Education and indeed the Education Management Committee, wished Pupils, Students and Teachers a fruitful academic session.
