FEYReP @6: Rep.Idem Applauds Akwa-Ibom First Lady for Changing fortunes of Women, Downtrodden.
The Deputy Chairman, Communications Committee in the House of Representatives, Rep Unyime Idem has applauded the wife of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Dr Martha Udom Emmanuel for using her pet project- Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path Initiative-FEYReP to impact positively on women,youth and the Vulnerable in the society.
The Lawmaker made the commendation while fielding questions from Newsmen at Ibom Hall, IBB Avenue Uyo shortly after the FEYReP 6th Anniversary.
He noted that Dr. Martha has used FEYReP to empower women to provide economic and emotional support to their families, advocacy for the prevention of teenage pregnancies, education for the girl , promotion of moral values and economic excellence as well as support to government towards sustainable development.
Rep Idem who was accompanied by his wife – Helen posited that for the past six years, the State First Lady has demonstrated consistency, dedication and commitment to achieving the goals and objectives of FEYReP.
He congratulated FEYReP on the sixth Anniversary, prayed God to continue to strengthen the First Lady even as he pledged the loyalty and support of the Ukanafun/ Oruk Anam Federal Constituency to the completion agenda.
