MPM INAUGURATES WARD EXECUTIVES IN INI

Ward Executives of Maintain Peace Movement (MPM), a frontline socio-political movement in Akwa Ibom state, have been inaugurated in Wards 1, 9 and 10 of Ini Local Government Area.

The Ini LGA Coordinator of MPM and Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Glory Edet, performed the inauguration ceremony, Wednesday, at the respective wards in company of the MPM Secretary, Rt. Hon Emmanuel Ekpenyong and other members of the LG Steering Committee as well as other stakeholders of the area.

In her remarks, Dr. Edet charged the Ward Executives of MPM to carry the message of peace which is being preached by the movement into the hinterlands. She thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for bringing along with his administration an unparalleled peace and noted that such peace must be maintained beyond 2023. She added that the inauguration will be done across the 11 wards of Ini LGA.

Earlier in his remarks the Secretary of MPM in Ini LGA and Member representing Ini state constituency in the AKHA, Rt. Honourable Emmanuel Ekpenyong while congratulating the newly sworn-in officers stated that the job of the group is to bring the goodnews of Governor Udom Emmanuel which is to maintain peace both in the state and the LGA and charged the members to be judicious in the discharge of their duties.
