CONFERENCE COMMITTEE ON HARMONIZATION OF ELECTORAL ACT AMENDMENT BILL BEGINS SITTING

The Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and member Conference Committee on the Harmonization of the Electoral Act Amendment Bill, 2021, Rep. Unyime Idem attended the opening session of the conference in Abuja which had in attendance the INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, UK Government representatives, European Union representatives and Executive Director, Policy and Legacy Advocacy Centre – PLAC.

The conference was presided over by the Chairman of the Senate Committee, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi and his counterpart from the House of Representatives, Rep. Akeem Adeyemi.

The conference continues tomorrow with resolutions on the harmonized Bill to be reached and assented to by President Muhammadu Buhari
