REP. IDEM COMMENDS GOV. UDOM EMMANUEL FOR SUSTAINING PEACE IN AKWA IBOM
The member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rep. Unyime Idem has commended the effort of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel in maintaining peace, order and security in the state, saying that such is needed to attract meaningful development to the state.
Rep. Idem stated this while fielding questions from reporters at the inauguration of National Executive Committee and grand unveiling of Maintain Peace Movement held at the Nest of Champions in Uyo.
While saluting the courage of the governor in battling all elements of violence and other vices, and making peace reign in the state, he called on the people to support the governor to ensure that the peace maintained by the governor is sustained even after his tenure.
According to him, “the Governor must be commended for maintaining peace in the state at a time when many parts of the country is troubled. It is important we as a people follow this path of peace as directed by the governor,” the federal lawmaker added.
The Deputy Chairman, Communications Committee in the House of Representatives reassured the governor that the people of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency will continue to support his completion agenda and work towards maintaining the peace and security in the state beyond 2023.
