INI CHAPTER CHAIRMAN RECEIVES OVER 450 APC DECAMPEES INTO PDP IN INI
…Dr. Glory Edet advices repentant decampees to be loyal to Governor Udom Emmanuel
Over four hundred and fifty members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have on Monday, December 6, defected into the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Ini LGA of Akwa Ibom state.
The supporters drawn from different wards of the area were received into the PDP fold, at a brief ceremony which was held at the PDP chapter secretariat, Odoro Ikpe, by the Chapter Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Umah
In her advice to the decampees, Dr. Glory Edet, who is the MPM National Director of Special Services as well as the Local Government Coordinator of MPM commended them for summoning the courage to take the “right decision to join the winning party”
The Agriculture boss. admonished the decampees to remain steadfast and not allow themselves to be misled any longer as the PDP Government under Governor Udom Emmanuel is carrying everyone along. She also told them to participate in the ongoing PDP e-registration and revalidation exercise.
In his remarks, the Ini PDP Chapter Chairman, Honourable Emmanuel Uma welcomed the legion of decampees to the fold of PDP and assured them that “the Umbrella is big enough to accommodate all of you”. He lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for all he has done for Ini and reaffirmed the loyalty of his party faithfuls to Governor Udom and his succession plan.
In their separate remarks, Sir Michael Ebio, Leader of the decampees and Honourable Aniefiok Offiong, Former Councillor, Ward 2 denounced their membership of the broom wielding sect and pledged allegiance to the PDP and Governor Udom Emmanuel.
