REP. IDEM SET TO BRIEF AND EMPOWER 1,500 CONSTITUENTS
… 1000-Seater Capacity Agric Development Centre for commissioning
The Deputy Chairman House Committee on Communications and member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Rep. Unyime Idem is set for his 2021 Constituency briefing and Empowerment of 1,500 beneficiaries. The release signed by the Ukanafun born Lawmaker also states that the 1000-seater capacity Agric Development Centre will be commissioned during the event.
The annual empowerment programme, the 4th in the series, is a fulfillment of the promise made by the Lawmaker to constantly brief his constituents and empower 5000 youths with life enhancing skills, business support, scholarship, bursary etc. Recall that 1000 constituents were empowered with 26 different life enhancing skills in December 2020.
The release states that the epoch-making event is scheduled to take place on Monday, 20th December 2021 by 10am at the Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Empowerment Centre, No 3 Barracks Road beside Divisional Police Headquarters Ukanafun L.G.A.
Subsequently, Rep. Idem has invited the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, his Wife, Dr. Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel, the Deputy Governor, Mr Moses Ekpo MFR, to attend.
The Leadership and members of the National Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, are billed to grace the occasion as a show of solidarity to one of their colleagues.
Others invited to attend the mega empowerment programme are Members of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly led by the Speaker, the State Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party and the PDP family, Members of the State Executive Council, the Political leaders in the state, traditional institutions, the Clergy, Council Chairmen, Chairmen of Boards and Parastatals, Stakeholders in Ukanafun and Oruk Anam, proposed 1500 beneficiaries of the 2021 Empowerment, Women and Youths, Students, the people of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and members of the public.
