UKANAFUN COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, COUNCILLORS SUPPORT REP. IDEM’S RE-ELECTION

The Chairman of Ukanafun local government area, Pastor Godwin Inyieng, Vice Chairman, Hon. Mrs Inemesit Caleb and all the Councillors from the area have given their support to the second term ambition of the member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Rep. Unyime Idem.

Pastor Inyieng pledged his support when the federal lawmaker officially consulted him on his second term ambition at his residence in Uyo.

According to the council chairman, Idem has raised the bar of representation in the federal constituency and deserves another term in the House of Representatives, promising to give him all the support necessary for his re-emergence.

He thanked the people of Oruk Anam for showing understanding in the zoning arrangement and allowing Ukanafun seek for a second term.

In a related development, councillors from Ukanafun local government area, led by the leader of the legislative council, Abasi-iyianga Obot also declared their support for the Ukanafun-born lawmaker.

Consulting, the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Communications, thanked the council chairman and the councillors for the roles they played in his first term bid, assuring that his desire to return to the house for a second term is to consolidate on the mandate and attract more development to the area having garnered sufficient experience in the last three years.

Unyime Idem who is campaigning on the theme “Sufficient Grace” has sponsored 20 bills, moved 20 motions and has embarked on over 40 life touching projects with Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in the last three years.
