Ikot Ekpene Senate: Enoidem is the most competent, experienced candidate for 2023– A’Ibom Deputy Gov

The PDP Candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem, is the most qualified and competent candidate from Abak federal Constituency to represent the Senatorial District as far as the 2023 Senatorial election is concerned, Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Moses Ekpo, MFR, has declared.

Speaking on Wednesday during a Consultation Visit to the Paramount Ruler of Abak LGA, His Royal Majesty, Okuku Saviour Sylvester Udofia, JP, the Deputy Governor who accompanied the PDP Senatorial candidate, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem on the visit, admonished the Abak Traditional Rulers Council to lead the campaign for justice, equity and fairness by ensuring that the collective decision of the political, traditional, and religious institutions, all of whom have unanimously endorsed the decision for Abak federal Constituency to produce the next Senator for the Senatorial District is adhered to by their subjects.

According to Mr. Ekpo, as vanguards of the culture and tradition of the Abak people, the Traditional institution owes the younger generation the sacred duty of being torchbearers of truth, integrity, uprightness, decorum, civility, and character.

He noted that in life and politics, time and season are two natural elements no man can alter or swim against the tide, submitting that 2023 is the divinely ordained time for Abak federal Constituency and Barr. Enoidem to aspire, contest, and effortlessly win the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial election, due to his pedigree, experience, loyalty to the party, dedication, and selfless service to humanity.

The Deputy Governor stated that having supported numerous candidates from 1999 till date to contest and win the presidential, gubernatorial, Senatorial, House of Representatives, and Assembly elections, the time has come for Barr. Enoidem to reap from the seed and goodwill he has planted for the past 23 years of PDP, submitting that his ability, capacity, and competence to represent the Senatorial District effectively and efficiently is never in doubt.

He called on Abak people to support Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Completion Agenda by standing firm with the 2023 Governorship aspiration of Pastor Umo Eno, assuring them that besides the numerous infrastructural development the PDP government has attracted to Abak, the Umo Eno incoming administration is poised to accelerate the socio-economic development of Abak for the benefit of the people.

Addressing the Royal Fathers, the PDP Senatorial candidate, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem said his aspiration apart from righting the wrong of the past 62 years of marginalization that Abak federal Constituency has suffered, his aspiration is a further confirmation that Abak federal Constituency, parades an array of eminently qualified Sons and Daughters who have the competence, character, and capacity to represent the Senatorial District and provide people-centered representation to the people.

He called on the Royal Fathers in Abak LGA to champion the cause of justice and provide purposeful leadership for the younger generation to emulate by insisting on the strict adherence to the collective decision of the Senatorial District of ensuring that the 2023 Senatorial race goes to Abak federal Constituency to sustain and maintain the prevailing peace, unity, and togetherness of the Senatorial District.

According to Barr Enoidem, the PDP remains the only party that has brought about a conscious, systematic, and sustained growth and development to Abak and Akwa Ibom State, assuring that a vote for the PDP is a vote for peace, stability, prosperity, development, and entrepreneurship.

The Senatorial hopeful called on Abak people to vote en-masse for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for President, Pastor Umo Eno for Governor, himself for Senator, Hon. Aniekan Umanah for House of Representatives, and Hon Udeme Otong for Abak State Constituency, assuring that with the vote and solidarity of the people, Abak will never remain the same again.

At Otoro Ward 2, Barr Enoidem who urged all present to observe a minute silence in honor of the Late Ime Umanah who was an illustrious son of the Ward, said he is a long-standing friend of Otoro, having served as Secretary General of Ime Umanah Senatorial Campaign Organization in 1998 that was won by Ime Umanah but regretted that the dream of Abak federal Constituency producing a Senator through Ime Umanah did not see the light of the day following the death of the then Head of State, Gen Sani Abacha in 1998.

He assured that God has decided to use him to achieve the unfulfilled dream of the Late Ime Umanah, and Abak Federal Constituency, promising to ensure that Otoro Ward 2 and Abak LGA benefit from whatever development project that would have been realized if the 1998 Senatorial ambition of their Son was not truncated.

On his part, the Director General, Umo Eno Campaign Organization, His Excellency, Amb Assam Assam, SAN, said the only Senatorial candidate and party the generality of Akwa Ibom people know as far as the 2023 Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District election is concerned is Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem and the PDP.

He noted that both Barr. Enoidem and the incoming Governor, Pastor Umo Eno have an unbroken bond and relationship that will be beneficial to the Senatorial District and reiterated the determination of Pastor Umo Eno to collaborate with Barr. Enoidem, and other stakeholders from Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District to develop the area and change the fortunes of the people for good.

At Otoro Ward 2, Amb. Assam recalled his long-standing friendship with Otoro Ward 2 in general and Ikot Obioko in particular, stating that the Late Ime Umanah was the one who paid his final year school fees as an undergraduate, stating that if the late Imesco was alive, he would have supported the clamour for Abak federal Constituency to produce the next Senator for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, and called on all to vote for the PDP and Barr Emmanuel Enoidem as a mark of honour to him.

Wednesday’s Campaign tour to Otoro Ward 3, Otoro Ward 1, Otoro Ward 2, and Abak Urban Ward 1 in Abak LGA, was Day 4 of the 2023 Senatorial Ward Tour ahead of the February 25, 2023, Presidential and National Assembly election.
