Excellence Award: Umo Eno congratulates Mkpanang, Bassey

…. Promises to Celebrate Hardwork if Elected Governor

The Governorship candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has said he will continue to promote excellence in service and reward hard work if elected Governor next year.

He spoke on the sidelines of the 2022 Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol festival where two illustrious sons of the state, popular gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey, and versatile events manager and Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mr Aniekpeno Mkpanang, were honoured with Awards of Excellence by Governor Udom Emmanuel.

He congratulated the duo, saying they are worthy of the award by dint of their effective services to God and mankind.

He particularly extolled Mkpanang’s virtues as a committed, focused and detailed manager of men and resources who has taken the festival to greater dimensions, and sustained it over the years to become an imprint on the world’s religious tourism calendar.

Pastor Eno equally said he was proud of the giant strides Pastor Bassey has made in the field of gospel music, maintaining that his humility and simplicity has been a key factor in his promotion.

He praised Governor Emmanuel for sustaining the festival not only as a mark of yearly Thanksgiving to God but as a platform to foster unity amongst the people of the state.
