Similarly, the contingents from the department of Mass Communication in the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic led by their President, Gerald Alphonsus lauded the visionary leadership and representation by Rep Idem. He described him as a man who has the interest of students and youths at heart, hence the numerous educational projects spread across the Federal Constituency.
In rounding off the eventful day, Students under the auspices of National Association of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency Students Worldwide donated campaign materials to the lawmaker in recognition of his effective representation and in support of his second term ambition to represent the people of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency.

Responding, the lawmaker appreciated them for finding him worthy of the recognition. He admonished them to be good ambassadors of their communities and schools while also pledging his continued support to the development of education in Nigeria.
“At all times, I will support educational advancement in Nigeria; I will contribute to the revitalisation of the education sector in my lifetime.”
“Let me also seize this opportunity to appeal to you to be productive and resourceful. Education for just certificates might not give you the future you desire. Learn hard skills for an added advantage. “
He assured them of his willingness to always give students the needed support to advance their careers through legislative and infrastructural interventions and the payment of bursary and scholarship during his yearly empowerment program.
