OUR GOLDEN VICTORY IS HERE!!

Results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, at the end of the 2023 Governorship and House of Assembly elections conducted on Saturday, March 18, 2023 show that Governorship candidate of our Party – the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno scored the highest number of votes, and was consequently declared as the Governor-elect in Akwa Ibom State.

Apart from the State Constituencies where elections have been declared inconclusive, Twenty-three Candidates of our Party who contested for seats at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly have so far been declared as winners in their respective State Constituencies.

We are as usual, humbled by this loud and sweeping reaffirmation by Akwa Ibom people about their preference for the Peoples Democratic Party. We do not take for granted, this serial expression of trust in our party by Akwa Ibom people. Indeed, we are eternally indebted in gratitude to Akwa Ibom people for affirming that the PDP will continue to remain as the most preferred Party in our State

We congratulate our candidates on their deserving victory and urge them to be magnanimous in victory by building bridges across the different political spectrum for the benefit of Akwa Ibom State and their respective State Constituencies.

In keeping with the long-established tradition of our Party in constantly expanding the frontiers of good governance and effective representation, we are confident that the Governor-elect Pastor Umo Eno shall lead a people-centric administration that shall unlock limitless opportunities of growth and progress across diverse sectors of our State’s economy. We are strongly convinced our victorious members-elect in Akwa Ibom will uphold the tenets of effective representation in their various domains.

Our Party is immensely grateful to Governor Udom Emmanuel for his superlative performance in office which has helped significantly in projecting the PDP brand in Akwa Ibom State and consequently deepened the love our people have for our Party.

We also commend His Excellency for his strategic ancillary support to the party and our candidates and indeed his general peaceful and democratic disposition that ensured the smooth conduct of the elections.

The Golden Era is finally here!
