Watbridge Hotels Hails Hilda Baci As Akwa Ibom Born Chef Closes In On Guinness World Record

Top hotel, Watbridge Hotels&Suites, Uyo has hailed Akwa Ibom born Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci on her official attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record for ‘The Longest Time Cooking’.
Hilda, who hails from Nsit Ubium in Akwa Ibom State is on a 96-hour Cook-a-thon, in a bid to make history for the longest cooking time record. The current record is held by Indian chef, Lata Tandon, who cooked for 87hours in 2019.

So far, she has cooked for over 70hours, delivering different varieties of food, which are shared to the throng of well wishers and admirers gathering at the Amore Gardens cooking venue.
Watbridge Hotels, in a statement of support and solidarity, says Hilda ‘represents the can do spirit and resilience of a true Nigerian woman’. The top hospitality outfit noted that Baci, through her Guinness record push, has placed the famed Akwa Ibom culinary tradition on the world map and Nigeria in positive light.
