GOV ENO APPRECIATES COLLEAGUES FOR ATTENDING PDP GOVERNOR’S FORUM MEETING

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Uno Eno, has expressed appreciation to his colleagues in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor’s Forum for the honour done him having successfully convened the first meeting of the forum in the current political dispensation, saying that the gesture is an expression of the confidence bestowed on him by his colleagues.

Governor Eno was speaking on the recent meeting of PDP Governors’ Forum held Tuesday, July 11th at the prestigious Akwa Ibom Lodge, Abuja, during his interaction with Government House Correspondents on his arrival today at Victor Attah Int’l Airport, Uyo.

He ascribed the gesture to the good foundation laid by his predicessors and commended their thoughtfulness for setting the template for such interactions.

He said, “I think we are privileged to be given the opportunity to host the Governors.

“It has always been a tradition, and we must thank our predecessor for the great work he did to gain the confidence of his colleagues that made it possible for them to continue to use Akwa Ibom House as venue of the meetings.

The Governor expressed appreciation to his colleagues for sustaining the legacy and particularly thanked them for honouring the invitation for the meeting which he said had enabled them chart a way forward for the forum .

He however posited that his background in the hospitality industry has given him the leeway to host the forum.

“For me, it is a vote of confidence in the things that we are doing, and I see it as a privilege.

“I would like to thank all our senior colleagues for giving us that privilege to host them.

“Again, you know I am from the hospitality industry so hosting people comes naturally to me”, he stated.
