Pastor Umo Eno’s Supreme Court Victory, Victory for Akwa Ibom People and Common Sense, says Senator Ekong Sampson

…calls for support, says National Assembly Members are fully behind Governor

Senator Ekong Sampson representing Akwa Ibom South in the National Assembly has described yesterday’s Supreme Court victory of Governor Umo Eno as victory for Akwa Ibom people and common sense.

Nigeria’s apex court yesterday, affirmed Pastor Eno as the duly elected Governor of Akwa Ibom State, putting to bed months of litigations from some of the opposition guber candidates in last year’s election. The Supreme Court victory has sparked widespread jubilations across the State.

In a message of congratulation to Gov. Eno, Senator Ekong Sampson hailed the Supreme Court ruling as victory for the people of Akwa Ibom State and indeed, for common sense. The Onomkpoinam Mkpat Enin called on all Akwa Ibomites to give the Governor all necessary support towards the realization of the lofty ideals of the ARISE Agenda, noting that the Governor has started very well in the past seven months.

The Akwa Ibom South Senator assured Gov. Umo Eno of the continuous support of the National Assembly members of the State’s extraction, saying they were fully behind him and of course, the support of the good people of Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District.

Dr. Sampson equally paid tribute to the legal team of Gov Umo Eno for their meticulousness and tenacity. The legal team is led by Mr. Paul Usoro, SAN.
