Spokesperson of the Amazing Grace Campaign Organisation (AGCO), Mrs Uduak Ikafia has called on the Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council to partner and support the governorship aspiration of her principal, Mr Onofiok Luke.
Ikafia made the request when she paid a familiarisation visit to the NUJ on Tuesday at the Press Centre in Uyo. The Campaign spokesperson described the visit as a home coming for one of their own. She said that her appointment as Director of Communications and Spokesperson means that , Mr Luke has found one of you worth and by extension the NUJ.
“We seek partnership with the media so we can educate the people on the right choice. Luke is the right choice. media should set the agenda”

“Use the manifesto to tell the people of Akwa Ibom State the good that is coming to them” Ikafia said.
She described Luke as a man who does not see the media as a last resort but as partners in building and growing Akwa Ibom State. According to her; “Luke has been a man of excellence. He has the wellbeing of people at heart. He knows Akwa Ibom and he is here to make a difference”.

In their response Secretary of the State Council, Comrade Dominic Akpan said it was remarkable to see Mrs Ikafia as the only woman spokesperson to a governorship aspirant. He commended Luke for appointing a seasoned communicator and a woman to play the role.

State Chairman of the NUJ Comrade Amos Etuk said he was delighted to handover the baton to Mrs Ikafia his successor in the capacity he had functioned in.
“I am happy because you have broken the bias as the first female spokesperson of the Campaign Organisation. We are very proud of the women in NUJ. You are the first spokesperson to meet the NUJ. We celebrate your appointment”.

“Onofiok Luke is a brand and an endless content. He says he is a creation of the media. He has been a backbone to the growth of the media. We are glad of his vision of building people”, Etuk said
The meeting attracted members of the State Working Committee of the NUJ, Heads of Chapels and their secretaries.
