REP. UNYIME IDEM COMMENCES DISTRIBUTION OF EMPOWERMENT FORMS FOR 2,500 BENEFICIARIES NEXT MONTH
- The member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency has approved the commencement of distribution of forms for 2,500 beneficiaries of his Empowerment Scheme for 2022 and 2023
- That the 2022 and 2023 empowerment programmes will be merged. That is 1,500 beneficiaries for 2022 and 1,000 beneficiaries for 2023 will be empowered together, making it a total of 2500 persons
- That beginning from next month, empowerment forms will be distributed to stakeholders from the federal constituency to nominate beneficiaries of the various categories of empowerment,
4.Recall that in 2019, Rep Idem initiated the skills empowerment programme for 5000 youths. So far, 2,500 persons had already been empowered leaving a balance of 2,500.
- That the remaining 2,500 beneficiaries for 2022 and 2023 are those that will benefit in this last phase of the empowerment
- That his yearly Constituency Briefing and Empowerment programme which usually takes place in December will now hold immediately after the general elections
- This is due to the INEC timetable for campaigns, Peoples Democratic Party electioneering activities for the Presidential, Governorship, Senatorial, federal and state constituencies & other state government activities
- Rep. Idem has assured his constituents that he will continue to protect their interests and represent them effectively at the National Assembly
- Rep. Idem has also urged his constituents to accommodate the slight adjustment in the Empowerment timetable as it is to the best interest of all.
- Finally, Rep. Idem has enjoined his constituents to get involved in the electioneering activities, ensure that they collect their PVCs and vote for the next set of leaders beginning from the President, to the Governor, the Senator, the House of Representatives and the House of Assembly
