… Applauds Governor Emmanuel over Devt. Strides
As part of efforts to further on the development strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel, Governor-elect of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has promised to build a cold room and provide other facilities around the fishing community of Ishiet, in Uruan Local Government.

Speaking at the commissioning of the 17.95km Anua – Mbak – Ishiet Road with spurs and 1.65km outfall drain in Uyo and Uruan Local Government Areas, he expressed excitement over the numerous roads completed and commissioned by the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration in the state.
He noted that the Mbak – Ishiet Road is a very economically viable one that will boost the business activities of the area and alleviate their sufferings.
In his words, “I sat there feeling very excited over this road because it is really an economically viable one. A road that will enhance the daily living of our people, particularly the one leading to Ishiet community.
“As someone who has been in the hospitality industry, I can tell you I am familiar with this road, because we always pass through here to get our fish. It has never been this good.
“Thank you so much for alleviating the suffering of the people around here, thank you for making business much more viable around here, and I like to thank you for your foresight and hindsight,” he said.
The Governor-elect assured the people of Etoi, Ishiet and the state generally that whatever is left undone by the present government, including the jetty and embankment, will be completed when he assumes office.

According to him, “I want to assure the people of Etoi, Ishiet and the rest that whatever is left, we will pick it up from there; we will do the jetty, we will do the embankment, and we will provide shops and a cold room to preserve your seafood.

“Your Excellency, honestly, the glory of the later days is becoming very overwhelming. It is as if you have saved the best for the last. I would like to tell you that we are grateful.
“The paramount ruler said he would have wished to extend your tenure. I like to assure him that you have a son who will continue in your footsteps and improve on what you have done.
“So our royal father does not need to be afraid because a lion can not give birth to a goat. And we are sure that by the grace of God, we will continue to make Akwa Ibom people happy. We will continue to create jobs and entrepreneurial development for our people,” he said.
